Light & Wonder Wednesday announced an expanded licensing partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment. Through the multi-year agreement, Light & Wonder will create new content for players through its aggregation platform.

The first announced project will make the slot game Willy Wonka: World of Wonka available for online play.

“Our partnership has led to the creation of some of the world’s most popular casino content, including Willy Wonka: World of Wonka,” said Light & Wonder CEO iGaming Dylan Slaney in a statement. “This is a huge step forward in terms of presenting our omni-channel vision to the world, as we continue to develop branded content.”

Through the partnership, Light & Wonder plans to use its in-house game development teams to leverage brand licensing offering from Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment. Titles across a range of verticals will be available to global regulated markets through Light & Wonder’s Opengaming ecosystem.

The digital version of Willy Wonka: World of Wonka will be released in the U.S., U.K., and Europe, with more Wonka-themed titles scheduled to appear on Light & Wonder’s content-aggregation platform across all igaming verticals.

Light & Wonder also plans to bring another land-based slot title, The Wizard Of Oz: Road To Emerald City, online as part of the global rights agreement, with additional branded games from the Warner Bros. Discovery portfolio to follow.
