Light & Wonder on Thursday announced the appointment of Muthu Palanichamy senior vice president & general manager, Global Systems. Palanichamy, who assumed the role in August, leads the company’s Global Systems business, where he oversees product strategy and roadmap, R&D, delivery and operations, and customer engagement for the systems portfolio.

A 16-year Light & Wonder veteran, Palanichamy has held leadership roles across Client Services, Operations and Systems Research & Development, building extensive experience across the business and its global customer base. Most recently, he played a key role in advancing the company’s Systems product strategy and driving initiatives focused on innovation, operational excellence, and customer success.
“Muthu brings a unique combination of deep technical expertise, operational experience and a strong understanding of our customers and their businesses,” Light & Wonder CEO, Gaming, Siobhan Lane said in a statement. “Over the past 16 years, he has played a crucial role in the evolution of our systems business and has built tremendous trust across our teams and with our customers. We are excited to have him lead the business into its next phase of growth and innovation.”
Palanichamy has overseen nine competitive Systems replacements, including deployments at multiple properties in North America, demonstrating continued customer confidence in Light & Wonder’s Systems portfolio and the strength of its technology and solutions.
Palanichamy will oversee the continued growth and evolution of the company’s Systems business, with a focus on advancing its global product strategy, strengthening long-term customer partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions that create value for operators. Drawing on his extensive experience across the organization, he will continue to drive collaboration across the business and support the teams responsible for delivering Light & Wonder’s Systems solutions to customers around the world.
