Las Vegas tourism officials are investing $450,000 over the next three years to boost visitation in July by sponsoring a darts championship. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Tuesday approved spending $150,000 per year in 2026, 2027, and 2028 for the Las Vegas World Masters Darts Championship & Beer.

World Darts Ventures, in association with the World Darts Federation, will host the event at the Rio Las Vegas.

Collectively, the three championship events are expected to attract more than 50,000 visitors and generate 35,000 incremental room nights during what the LVCVA called “critical summer-need periods.”
The event is projected to attract about 3,000 to 5,000 dart players per year, with an estimated 70% of participants traveling from international markets. Room nights connected to the championship events will be distributed across multiple resort partners in the destination.

The proposed sponsorship will provide the LVCVA with advertising, marketing, and hospitality opportunities before, during, and after the championship events.
