“Nine months after his partner Roy Horn died from complications with COVID-19, Siegfried Fischbacher, 81, is ‘terminally ill with pancreatic cancer,’ according to a report from German publication Bild.
The famed magician is reportedly at home in Las Vegas following a ’12-hour operation’ to remove a malignant tumor.
A Las Vegas spokesman for Seigfried & Roy said in an email to CDC Gaming, “Nothing to share right now. I’ll make sure you know if that changes.”
In May, Roy died at the age of 75 in Las Vegas. He was the flashy animal trainer and showman of the Siegfried & Roy duo that changed entertainment on the Las Vegas Strip by astonishing millions attending their shows at The Mirage. The pair stopped performing when Horn was critically injured in 2003 by one of the act’s famed white tigers.
Siegfried was ‘released from a clinic at his own request’ and is being taken care of by ‘two hospice workers,’ according to an article in London’s Daily Mail.
Fischbacher is not allowed to see any friends or family members due to the coronavirus pandemic.
