Marker Trax this week introduced Val Apoderado as its new vice president of IT Operations and Engineering.
Apoderado started with the Las Vegas-based cashless-credit company in February 2023, working on technical operations and quality-assurance initiatives. He will serve as an advisor on all processes, systems, and data issues, in addition to ongoing product performance and enhancement.
“The crux of our success is managing and tracking customers’ credit activities and having robust, secure, and regulatory-compliant systems in place to manage that data is of paramount importance,” said Marker Trax President Charlie Skinner in a statement. “With Val leading these focused efforts, we’re taking another step forward in our industry-leading position in the cashless-credit gaming sector.”
Apoderado previously worked for companies including Wynn, the Nevada Cancer Institute, and Shift4 Payments. Over two decades, he has accrued experience building and managing cybersecurity, compliance, and governance programs.
“Our company built the cashless-credit revolution and every day we’re innovating to retain our leadership position,” Skinner said. “That’s only possible with a team of the brightest minds in gaming, technology, and payments. Val is a key part of that team.”
