The Las Vegas airport reported its third highest month in history in June, handling more than five million passengers, highlighted by increased visitation from Europe. The 5.06 million passengers at Harry Reid International Airport are 3.7% higher than the 4.88 million that went through the airport in June 2023.

For the first six months of 2024, the airport handled 28.8 million passengers, an increase of 2.6% over the 28.1 million through the first six months of 2023.

International visitation continues to boost the airport’s gains, with 321,189 foreign passengers going through in June, 14.4% higher than June 2023. The 1.85 million international visitors so far this year are 20.4% higher than the 1.53 million during the first six months of 2023.

Internationally, Canadian airline WestJet led the way with 68,123, an 8.6% decline, while Air Canada was second at 54,022, a 23.1% increase.

What stood out was an increase in travel from Europe. British Airways ranked third with 49,611, a 73.7% increase over the 28,562 in June 2023. Virgin Atlantic had a 42.2% increase.

Domestically, Southwest Airlines led the way in June by handling 1.89 million passengers, a 4.2% increase over June 2023. Spirit was second with 733,343, a 5.9% increase over June 2023. Delta rose 9.9% while American saw a 0.7% decline. Frontier fell 0.9%.
