Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park, California, this week hosted the world premiere of Bomberman slot games from the Konami Gaming franchise. The premiere featured YouTube personality Scott Richter (aka The Big Jackpot) playing live.
Guests of Graton also will be the first to play on Konami’s new Solstice machine form factor, which debuts exclusively at the resort and casino.
“Bringing a retro icon like Bomberman to the casino floor is a powerful combination of nostalgia and pure adrenaline,” Graton Resort & Casino Chief Operating Officer Brian Green said in a statement. “Guests at Graton Resort & Casino are about to see just how explosive those classic video game moves can be when translated into jackpot power.”
Taking inspiration from the video games of more than 40 years, Bomberman Blast and Bomberman Boom are the first slot games based on Bomberman. The slot series features recognizable characters from the games, using classic Bomberman bombs to burst open bonus prize opportunities.

The games tap into recognizable imagery from the video games such as brick walls, speckled eggs, power-up symbols, and round cartoon-like bombs with blasting rope fuse.
Bomberman slots feature triple metamorphic bombs perched above a standard five-reel base game. Brightly colored bomb symbols corresponding to the triple metamorphic bombs can appear on the center reels throughout gameplay. Upon landing to the reels, the bomb symbols give players the chance at a variety of original bonus adventures.
Players can win a mix of in-game rewards, including cash-on-reels credit prizes, bonus awards, and the huge grand jackpot.
