Malta-based Kindred Group continues its U.S. expansion by entering into an agreement with Penn National Gaming for market access in Illinois and Ohio. Kindred will operate online sports betting and igaming, pending applicable laws passing and both parties obtaining all necessary gaming licenses.
Following Kindred’s entry into New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Indiana, the company secures further market access by signing these new agreements with Penn National. They provide Kindred, under the Unibet brand, the ability to pursue licensing in Illinois, through Argosy Casino Alton, and Ohio, through Hollywood Casino. The agreements span a 10-year period.
“Putting Illinois and Ohio on the list together with New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Indiana shows our commitment to establishing Unibet in the U.S.,” said Manuel Stan, SVP Kindred US.
Kindred Group will continue to invest in expanding its U.S. opereations where market conditions support a sustainable business model. Kindred will leverage Pala Interactive’s Online Gaming Platform and integrate with sports betting provider Kambi.
