Tom Nieman said when he thinks of Juegos Miami, the prospect for gaming being legalized in Brazil comes to mind.
Nieman, the worldwide vice president of marketing for JCM Global, a transaction technologies supplier for the banking, retail, kiosk and gaming industries, said he recalls conservations three to four years ago with Clarion Gaming about “sticking a flag” into the Latin American marketplace.
“We always anticipate this show because the Latin American market is a vibrant one and if and when Brazil comes on board, it will be the one of the largest gaming markets in the world,” Nieman said.
Juegos Miami organizers and backers thought it was important to build this show starting in Miami because market research indicated higher-level people in the Latin American market had residences in Miami and loved to go there, Nieman said.
“We can keep this in the U.S. and target it 100 percent to the Latin American market, but I anticipate the day is going to come where they take this show and move it down to Brazil,” Nieman said.
Even without Brazil in the mix, the Latin American market “is pretty good on its own,” Nieman said. In that region, JCM uses more of a distribution approach than a direct approach. It has someone who coordinates with the distributors in the various markets.
“We have a number of distributors down there, and they will all be up and then the actual end user customers will be up as well,” Nieman said. “It’s a great chance for us to see them.”
JCM has core currency transaction equipment and core transaction printing hardware. The company has what it calls “gaming-changing technology” in FUZION, which is at the core of the future-ready casino floor.
Nieman describes it as how a slot machine can be utilized in new ways to unlock greater value for the players and customer. It happens by connecting JCM’s new GEN5 print and the IVIZION bill validator a compatible back-end CMS.
Machines on the slot floor have the potential to deliver a server-driven suite of player-focused, revenue-driving features, Nieman said. FUZION could turn every slot machine into a multi-line profit center, with lottery tickets, sports wagering, promotions, and more at the players’ fingertips.
“Fusion gives you a tremendous amount of new opportunities,” Nieman said. “It’s everything from turning the slot machine to a line-item vending machine where you can do sports book wagering, lottery ticket purchases, and additional promotional couponing.”
JCM’s iVIZION has CIS technology that scan the entire note or ticket, reading more than 9.5 million data points, which the company says it twice the nearest competitor.
JCM Intelligent Cash Box evolves cash management and asset management with smarter and faster data, and its new design streamlines and simplifies cash box collection, saving time and labor.
JCM will be in booth No. 6.
