Vancouver-based Jackpot Digital Inc. is positioned to install its casino machines throughout Maine with the news it has received license approval from the Maine Gambling Control Unit.
Jackpot is in the business of dealer less electronic poker and table games solutions. Maine is the first state-issued license it has received in the United States.
“Until now, our U.S. licenses have been exclusively through our valued Indian gaming casino partners, who issue licenses for their respective properties,” said Jake Kalpakian, CEO of Jackpot Digital. “A state license, however, grants us access to the entire state. We have several additional state licenses pending approval, representing a major expansion opportunity into larger state-regulated commercial casinos.
“More immediately, this MGCU approval enables us to offer Jackpot Blitz to gaming operators across Maine.”
Kalpakian said the company has growing interest in Maine and intends now to immediately engage with gaming operators.
Jackpot also has several cruise ship customers: Carnival Cruises, Princess Cruises, Holland America, AIDA, and Costa Cruises.
In December, the company announced that the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) had approved them to be licensed as a registered Gaming Related Supplier in the province, meaning it can now supply its electronic table games to Ontario venues, both casinos and other regulated facilities.
Jackpot has installed its product in states like California, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Oregon, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Washington, and Saskatchewan in Canada.
The company’s flagship product, Jackpot Blitz, blends 4K technology touchscreen with card-vending technology that replicates actual card play, with real-time tracking of player stats, bankroll, and player bonuses. Besides poker, players can also move to a library of games like baccarat and blackjack.
