Iowa casinos generated $136 million in revenue for January, up 2.4% year-over-year.
The figures, published by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, show that statewide, slots generated $122.4 million, rising 2.7%. Table games revenue dropped 0.4% to $13.5 million.
Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino recorded the highest revenue in January of the state’s 19 casinos, reporting $19.6 million, up 6.1%.
Other double-digit revenue came from Ameristar II, which reported $13.4 million; Horseshoe Casino Council Bluffs, with $12.8 million; and Riverside Casino, recording $10.2 million.
Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo had the largest year-over-year revenue increase, rising 15.9% to $8.6 million. The second-highest increase came from Lakeside Casino, up 13.4% to $4.2 million.
Horseshoe Casino Council Bluffs had the greatest year-over-year revenue decline, falling 7.2%. Harrah’s Council Bluffs (-6.2%), Diamond Jo Dubuque (-4.7%), Grand Falls Casino Resort (-2.5%), Catfish Bend Casino (-1.4%), and Casino Queen Marquette (-1.1%) also reported revenue declines in January.
