Illinois: New permanent casinos help state revenue inch up year-over-year in November

Two casinos that opened permanent facilities in the past year saved Illinois from a statewide year-over-year casino revenue drop in November, as revenue inched up 1.3% from $152.9 million in November 2024 to $154.8 million in November 2025.

According to the report from the Illinois Gaming Board, two casinos that opened permanent facilities in the past year posted double-digit revenue increases – Wind Creek Southland, up 52% from $10.2 million to $15.5 million, and Hollywood Casino Joliet, up 51.1% from $7.3 million to $11 million. Golden Nugget Danville Casino also saw revenue increase, up 14.9% from $2.9 million to $3.3 million.

The most significant revenue drop was recorded by the Harrah’s Joliet Casino, down 18% from $10.2 million to $8.4 million. Bally’s Chicago Casino and Rivers Casino each saw revenue decline 13.4%, with Bally’s Chicago falling from $9.7 million to $8.4 million and Rivers Casino declining from $43.3 million to $37.5 million.

Revenues remained relatively stable for Argosy Casino Alton, which saw a decline of 0.3% year-over-year, Grand Victoria Casino, which saw an increase of 0.8%, and  Walkers Bluff Casino, which saw an increase of 0.7%.

Statewide, slot revenue rose 4.3% year-over-year from $115.4 million to $120.4 million while table games revenue fell 8% from $37.4 million to $34.5 million.
