A sports wagering system from International Game Technology completed field trial in Nevada, the company announced Tuesday, which allows for the platform to be deployed throughout the state.
IGT officials said the PlayShot platform is now operating in four states – Nevada, New Jersey, Mississippi, and West Virginia.
Mobile sports betting on the PlayShot platform received Nevada regulatory approval in a field trial completed in 2017.
“Gaining full regulatory approval in Nevada for IGT’s integrated PlayShot sports betting solution enables our customers throughout the state to benefit from its seamless integration of retail and mobile betting technologies in a single solution,” said IGT Senior Vice President Enrico Drago.
Throughout the field trial, PlayShot operated over-the-counter betting services at 10 Las Vegas Strip casinos. The testing also included IGT’s MarkSense Technology, which enables operators to design and print parlay sheets and promotions on demand.
