Gambling technology provider International Game Technology PLC has published its 2023 Sustainability Report, detailing its environmental, social and governance commitments and achievements.
IGT has earned Top Employer certification in the United States, Canada and Italy and a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index in 2023.
IGT says it is proactive in ensuring responsible gaming. The report confirms that the company retains its G4 re-certification for its Global Gaming and Play Digital operations. IGT’s Sustainable Play initiatives are a key focus of the report, which launched last year to highlight its commitment to delivering responsible practices that are “Ahead of the Game.”
The company reports that it is on track to meet its goal of being net-zero in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, receiving validation from the Science Based Targets initiative in 2023.
“The 2023 IGT Sustainability Report highlights our ongoing global sustainability initiatives that endeavor to positively impact our people and our planet as we continue to demonstrate measurable progress towards our Sustainable Play initiatives,” Vince Sadusky, IGT CEO, said in a press release.
Earlier, IGT reported almost $1.1 billion in revenue for the first quarter. This follows the company’s merger with Everi Holdings to create a global gaming and FinTech enterprise valued at about $2.6 billion.
