The International Center for Responsible Gaming Monday announced that Mark Lipparelli will be the new chair of its governing board. Lipparelli was elected to the position last week at the ICRG’s policy summit in Las Vegas.
Lipparelli replaces UNLV International Gaming Institute Distinguished Fellow Alan M. Feldman, who will continue to serve as ICRG chair emeritus.
Lipparelli, the founder of Gioco Ventures, is a former member of Nevada Gaming Control Board and a past member of the Nevada State Senate. He currently serves as board chairman of Galaxy Gaming.
The ICRG also introduced new board members Birgitte Sand and M. Cristina Romero De Alba.
Sand was executive director at the Danish Gambling Authority between 2008–2020. She currently an works as an independent consultant covering gambling legislation and regulation, gambling authorities, and other issues related to the industry.
Romero De Alba is a partner at the LOYRA law firm in Madrid, Spain, specializing in advising financial institutions and investors in the gaming and betting industry. She specializes in multi-jurisdiction and cross-border transactions, and regulatory and licensing proceedings in the U.S, Latin America, the European Union and the United Kingdom.
