Another way of betting the horses is coming to Churchill Downs Incorporated properties.

Ainsworth Game Technology and Konami Gaming are partnering to bring historical racing machines to CDI’s facilities in Kentucky including Derby City Gaming, Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel, and Newport Racing & Gaming.

“We have maintained strong and mutually beneficial relations with CDI since Ainsworth developed the systems and led the opening of Derby City Gaming with nearly 1,000 games about two years ago,” Ainsworth Chief Commercial Officer Deron Hunsberger said in a statement. “The addition of Konami content and platforms to our system will provide an even stronger product mix at the CDI properties.”

The machines use the results of past races to generate player outcomes. The games will operate on Ainsworth’s proprietary Historical Horse Racing System. Konami’s historical racing machines feature a suite of games and cabinet platforms.

This launch offers CDI guests even more opportunities to discover new game titles and enjoy a unique experience on the floor,” Tom Jingoli, executive vice president & chief operating officer at Konami Gaming, Inc., said in a statement. “We are excited to work together to create more gaming possibilities for players and properties in the HRM space.”
