Wagers in excess of $1.2 billion helped drive online sports betting in New York State in July. OSB providers’  revenue totaled $140.3 million, representing a hold of 11.1 percent.

That was a 33 percent increase in revenue and 31 percent in handle. July also marked the last full month of operation in the Empire State by WynnBet.

FanDuel led in both handle ($483 million) and winnings ($59.3 million), signifying a high hold of 12.3 percent. DraftKings held only 10.5 percent. Its handle grew 34 percent to FanDuel’s 25 percent, but winnings were blunted, rising just 17 percent (to FanDuel’s 44 percent) for a $48 million total.

Caesars Sportsbook held 10 percent, as handle dipped two percent, but revenue rose by the same metric. It grossed $10.8 million.

Behind it was BetMGM, which won $8.8 million from bettors, a 31 percent increase. Its handle was $89 million (plus 37 percent) and its hold 9.9 percent.

Fanatics Sportsbook saw handle increase exponentially (by 429 percent) to $76 million. It won $8.9 million (plus 562 percent from predecessor PointsBet).

Others in contention included BetRivers, which won $3.5 million on a handle of $35 million, BallyBet and Resorts World, both of which grossed $500,000. Both posted $6 million in wagers.

WynnBet exited New York State with $100,000 in win, a 90 percent falloff from July 2023. Its handle was $1 million.
