The Hard Rock Heals Foundation Wednesday announced it will contribute $250,000 to global charitable organizations. The philanthropic arm of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, will distribute the funds through individual grants of $5,000.
“Since 2016, Hard Rock Heals Foundation has proudly supported hundreds of programs to give back to people in need in the communities we serve,” said Hard Rock Heals Foundation President and Hard Rock International Chief Operating Officer Jon Lucas in a statement. “We are hopeful that these grants will bring about positive transformations in all the places we serve around the globe.”
Hard Rock Heals provides grants and assistance for health and wellness, disaster relief, and humanitarian causes. This year’s grant recipients include organizations such as Redefining Refuge in Tampa, Florida; Best Point Education and Behavioral Health in Cincinnati, Ohio; the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia; New York Edge, in New York, New York; and Fundación Musicoterapia y Salud in Madrid, Spain.
According to the Hard Rock International, funds provided by the Hard Rock Heals Foundation bolster programs dedicated to mental health awareness and research, preventing human trafficking, and ensuring children grow up healthy, educated, and safe. The foundation started awarding grants to health and wellness in 2016.
