A lucky guest at The Rose Gaming Resort in Dumfries, Virginia, has set a new record by winning a $1,014,879 jackpot on just a 25-cent wager. This is believed to be the largest historical horse racing jackpot in American history, breaking the previous jackpot of $914,530 won by a lucky guest at Rosie’s Hampton in 2021.
This record-setting $1 million jackpot was won on January 22, 2026 by a Prince William County local playing one of The Rose’s Straight Cash historical horse racing terminals.
