Las Vegas-based Golden Entertainment, Inc. announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a long-term agreement with William Hill to manage Golden’s race and sports operations in Nevada, Maryland and Montana.

The new contract expands upon Golden Entertainment’s existing agreement with William Hill, which already covers race and sports book operations at Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Gambling Hall as well as deposit kiosks at some 80 Golden Entertainment-owned taverns and third party distributed gaming locations throughout Nevada.

The partnership further extends the existing relationship between William Hill and Golden Entertainment to include race and sports books operations in Las Vegas at Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur and Arizona Charlie’s Boulder, as well as Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin.

William Hill will also continue to operate the race and sports books at Edgewater and Colorado Belle casino resorts in Laughlin once Golden finalizes the acquisition of these properties in the first quarter of 2019.

The agreement provides for a minimum of 100 William Hill mobile deposit kiosks at Golden Entertainment’s company-owned taverns and third party distributed locations in Nevada.

“We are excited to expand our relationship with William Hill, which has a proven sports wagering platform not only in Nevada but around the world,” said Golden Entertainment COO Steve Arcana. “We look forward to growing our business in Nevada and other jurisdictions through this partnership.”

The companies plan to jointly pursue sports wagering opportunities in Montana and Maryland if and when those states pass permissive legislation. Golden Entertainment currently operates distributed gaming across Montana in approximately 300 locations and owns Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Maryland.

“Since entering the United States, William Hill has had an excellent relationship with Golden Entertainment,” said Joe Asher, CEO of William Hill US. “We look forward to continuing it for many years to come in Nevada and elsewhere as opportunities arise.”

William Hill is expected to begin operating Golden Entertainment’s additional Nevada race and sports books by December, subject to required regulatory approvals.
