GLI tabs Australian gaming vet Robert Howarth as chief business officer for APAC

Gaming Laboratories International this week announced that Robert Howarth is its new chief business officer for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. A veteran of the Australian commercial and gaming industries, Howarth will be charged with spearheading business growth strategies for the company’s labs in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Macao. He also will direct client relationships with suppliers, operators, regulators, and industry bodies and work with delivery teams to meet the standards and expectations of the global gaming industry.

“We are thrilled to welcome Richard to GLI and specifically to our APAC labs,” said GLI CEO for APAC Ian Hughes in a statement. “His depth of knowledge and experience in technology, gaming & hospitality, responsible gaming, and customer relations will be of incredible value to GLI’s clients throughout the APAC region.”

Howarth most recently worked for tech company IXUP Limited/BetStop as Chief Business Officer – Enterprise Technology Sales. He previously worked for Trippas White Group, an Australian venue operator; The Star Entertainment Group; and Sportingbet. Howarth also founded marketing and technology strategy company Proxy Consulting.
