Gambling operator Flutter Entertainment has announced that two members will join its board on July 30 – Christine M. McCarthy, who will join the audit committee, and Robert R. Bennett, who will join the risk and sustainability committee.

McCarthy gained most of her senior leadership experience at The Walt Disney Co., joining in 2000 as senior vice president and treasurer. She also has served as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer. Her most recent role with the company was as a strategic advisor.

Bennett has held roles at companies such as Hilltop Investments LLC, Discovery Holding Co., Liberty Media Corp., Tele-Communications Inc. and The Bank of New York.

“Christine and Dob’s extensive experience in the entertainment industry will be an invaluable asset to Flutter as we continue to extend our leading position as a global online sports betting and igaming provider,” John Bryant, chair of the Flutter board said in a press release. “We look forward to welcoming both Dob (Robert) and Christine to the board as non-executive directors and benefitting from their unique perspective and industry knowledge.”

Flutter Entertainment oversees a range of gambling operators globally, including FanDuel, PokerStars and Paddy Power. The company listed its shares on the New York Stock Exchange and posted net losses of $375 million in the first quarter.
