The Florida Gaming Control Commission has posted the slot numbers for the first month of its fiscal year 2025, showing slot revenues of $53,970,349 in July. Compared to July 2023, this was a nearly 5.9 percent decrease from the $57,327,254 collected.

Bettors spent $789,612,419 at slot machines in July, with slots paying out $722,605,884. The net revenues gave slot operators a hold of around 6.8 percent. In July 2023, bettors spent $866,767,525 and collected winnings of $797,279,712 for a hold of around 7.2 percent. The daily average revenue for slot machines in July 2023 was $272 compared to $252 in July 2024.

The most significant source of slot revenues in July 2024 was Magic City Casino, collecting $9,597,609 from the most considerable slot spend in the month of $145,583,662. The most revenue came from The Isle Casino & Racing at Pompano Park, which collected $10,759,864.

While these performances for legal casinos operating slots were disappointing, the Florida Gaming Commission has recently cracked down on illegal casino operations. The Commission announced it shut down 11 illegal casinos in combination with the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
