Global sports betting and gaming entertainment group Entain has joined the 50 Global Leaders initiative.

Featured on Bloomberg’s global media platform, 50 Global Leaders tracks progress by international companies on responsible gaming and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) initiatives. The Bloomberg initiative will specifically highlight Entain’s progress in ESG areas over the last year.

Entain’s involvement with the 50 Global Leaders is just one of the UK-based company’s ESG-oriented efforts. In 2020, the UK-based company launched a Sustainability Center and pledged to invest £100 million over five years to fund global responsible gaming initiatives.

In 2020, Entain achieved its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions a year earlier than expected. The UK company reduced emissions by over 15% per employee since 2018 and has committed to becoming net-zero by 2035.

The company’s commitment to player protection also can be seen through ARC (Advanced Responsibility and Care), a new personal protection system Entain is developing that will build individual risk profiles for customers. If players show signs of risk, ARC can intervene without players being aware to safeguard their play.

Entain also supports youth soccer in the UK through Pitching In, a partnership with SportsAid, to fund football clubs and support young athletes. The company also supports Bwincares, which helps develop Olympic athletes in Greece.
