The Durango Casino & Resort in southwest Las Vegas launched its $385 million third-phase expansion this week that will take up space on its northern parking lot. The construction comes three weeks after the Durango unveiled its $120 million expansion, including a new high-limit room with 120 machines, additional casino space with 130 slot machines, and a new parking garage, all on the south end of the property.
The new expansion on the north end will add 275,000 additional square feet to the podium in what the property is calling “a lively mix of new gaming, dining, entertainment and recreational amenities.” This next phase of development will introduce an expanded casino floor with approximately 400 additional slot machines to add to the 2,200 currently in place, a 36-lane state-of-the-art bowling facility, movie theaters, multiple new restaurant concepts and food hall outlets, and several new entertainment venues.
Construction is expected to take approximately 18 months to complete. All existing resort amenities will remain open and accessible during the construction period, with minimal disruption to guests.
“The larger $385 million 2.0 expansion should drive growth further,” said Barry Jonas, an analyst with Truist Securities. “The 2.0 shouldn’t delay any other pipeline projects, with further details potentially revealed around the fourth quarter of 2026. Construction continues across Green Valley Resort and Sunset Station renovations (in Henderson) and while there will be some disruption in the first half of 2026, management continues to target net ROI of 20%.”
