Delaware casino revenue drops 2.6% to $43.8 million in August

Delaware’s three casinos generated $43.8 million in revenue for August, down 2.6% year over year.

The Delaware Lottery figures show that video lottery terminals accounted for most of the combined figure, generating $39.7 million, down 0.5%, while table games generated $4.1 million, down 19%.

Delaware Park recorded the highest revenue for the month and the only year-over-year revenue increase. Revenue was up 4.5% to $19 million. VLTs increased 8.4% to $17 million, and table games decreased 20.2% to $2 million.

Bally’s Dover was the second-highest revenue generator in August, reporting $15 million, down 4.9%. VLTs were down 3.9% to $13.6 million, and table games dropped 14.7% to $1.3 million.

Harrington Casino recorded the biggest year-over-year revenue decline last month, down 10.7% to $9.9 million. VLTs declined 9.5% to $9.1 million, and table games decreased 22.5% to $781,621.
