The Cordish Companies and Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland in Hanover on Monday announced that James Reyes is its new Senior Vice President of Property Operations. In this new role, Reyes will be responsible for food & beverage, hotel operations, facilities, and security at the Cordish Companies’ Maryland property.

Casino & Hotel Maryland Executive Vice President and General Manager Ryan Eller said in a statement. “Combined with his background leading teams at world-class luxury gaming resorts, James will help elevate the guest and team member experience while reinforcing Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland’s position as a premier entertainment destination.”
Reyes has more than 30 years of leadership experience across hospitality, marketing, nightlife, and operations. He has managed and operated venues at Bellagio, Aria, Borgata, and Wynn Resorts, and, according to a news release, is recognized as a “dynamic, results-driven executive with a proven track record of developing operating strategies that enhance guest experience and drive organizational excellence.”
Prior to joining Live!, Reyes served as MGM Detroit Hotel & Casino’s Vice President of Hospitality, where he led hotel and resort operations across food and beverage, culinary, front office, VIP concierge, group reservations, pool and spa, housekeeping, environmental services, and valet. Reyes previously was Vice President of Events & Nightlife for MGM Resorts International, focusing on service, brand development, and team performance.
