Foxwoods Resort Casino has opened Club Newport, its newly revamped high-limit gaming area with the 10,000 square foot of space and 35 high-limit table games.

“Club Newport marks a monumental shift in high-limit gaming in the United States, setting a new standard for luxury and exclusivity at Foxwoods,” Foxwoods CEO Jason Guyot told The Day. “This groundbreaking new space is designed to cater to our most distinguished guests.”

The sophisticated decor includes a gold vaulted ceiling with bronze arches, chandeliers and a pearlescent wallcovering. Games include mini-baccarat, blackjack, roulette, craps, pai gow poker, pai gow tiles and face-up pai gow, with wagers starting at $50. Two private rooms offer big table baccarat, which the casino says is a rare option in today’s casinos.

“I’ve been to every high-limit room in the United States and this is No. 1, on a par with anything in Las Vegas,” Guyot said.

Alongside the new high-limit area, the casino is planning to open a massive water park in early 2025, further diversifying its offerings. Despite these expansions, Guyot emphasized that Foxwoods remains dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for slots and table game players, noting, “they’re our bread and butter.”
