What were the big stories of 2015?
• Increased discussion of expanded sports betting as the illegal gambling market is further exposed, daily fantasy sports run into continued obstacles, and leagues, broadcasters and other interested parties seek to increase fan engagement.
• Greater progressive thinking at the state level where regulators are growing increasingly convinced that they, the operators and suppliers need increased flexibility to attract new customers and compete with other casinos and forms of gaming. Recent creative thinking in Massachusetts being a primary example.
• Further coming of an age for an industry previously seen on the margins of mainstream. Months of industry activity in battleground states and efforts to inform and mobilize our employee base will culminate with a presidential debate in America’s gaming capital.
