It has been a good year for CDC Gaming:
- Traffic to our website (measured in both visits and page views) has more than doubled since December 2013. According to Alexa.com CDC Gaming is among the highest ranked casino industry business websites in the world.
- We re-designed our home page and now feature links to Global Gaming Business, UNLV Center for Gaming Research and the Las Vegas Advisor.
- We expanded and refined our report products, including the addition of HOT Clicks and Picks plus a completely redesigned Casino Promotion App (available only to premium subscribers).
- We launched a co-marketing program with G2E (Reed Exhibitions) that hopefully benefited them as much as it helped us.
- CDC Gaming Seminars operated six very successful (and totally sold out) gaming management seminars.
- We organized (and recognized) the CDC Team, 18 hard-working professionals who are always ready to assist in improving CDC Gaming – and make this publisher’s day go much smoother than ever before.
Not ready to rest on our laurels CDC Gaming has plans for 2015:
- In January we will be launching a webpage/reports advertising program – designed to be supportive for both the advertiser and the webpage reader. Ads will be placed where they can be seen quickly, but without blocking important content.
- Also in January we will be expanding our Twitter and Facebook networks – as additional tools to spread gaming industry news and serve as backup in case of a Constant Contact breakdown. (We are also launching a second backup distribution program – though hopefully subscribers will never be aware of it.)
- We will continue to expand our Casino Promotion App coverage beyond the nineteen states already included.
- We are looking at possible re-designs of the Flash and the Adams Daily Report – but only if these efforts improve their effectiveness and efficiency.
- And throughout 2015 we will be actively investigating and improving benefits for our premium subscribers – including an expanded Flash, a monthly news and revenue summary from Ken Adams and any other suggestions put forth from our favorite customers. (And please reply with any suggestions that you feel would improve CDC Gaming in 2015.)
And the best thing about 2014 (and I look forward most to in 2015) is the continued support and cheer I get from our subscribers and friends. It makes this job the most wonderful occupation anyone could possibly have.
Thank you and have a Happy New Year!
Jeffrey Compton
