CDC Gaming, in partnership with Global Gaming Women (GGW), celebrated this year’s 10 Women Rising in Gaming at a stylish cocktail party held at Allē Lounge on 66 at Resorts World Las Vegas (RWLV) on Sunday night.
The re-branded Day Zero Party, which welcomed almost 200 guests, saw all 10 honorees in attendance where they were individually welcomed on stage to receive a trophy as part of a brief presentation ceremony.
For more information on each of the honorees, visit https://cdcgaming.com/2025-10wr/.
Running from 6pm to 8pm, the Day Zero Party was a combined stand-up/sit-down cocktail event with guests enjoying a fine array of hors d’oeuvres plus free flow beer, champagne and wine.
Aside from official proceedings, it provided a unique opportunity for guests to mingle and network in a relaxed environment before they plunge headfirst into the chaos of G2E week.
There were also short speeches from CDC Gaming’s group CEO Andrew W Scott, RWLV President and CFO Carlos Castro, GGW President and Board Chair Lauren Bates and CDC Gaming’s Lead Contributor Rege Behe plus a surprise career recognition presentation for Jim McGlasson, who is retiring as CDC Gaming’s Advertising Manager at the end of this year after a long and illustrious media career spanning 56 years. Proceedings were emceed by GGW Board Member and Second Vice President, Brandi Ellis.
“The Sunday before G2E has always been a highlight, seeing old friends and meeting new ones, but the evolution to the Day Zero Party marks a significant new chapter for CDC Gaming,” said Cory Roberts, CDC Gaming Publisher.
“It was fantastic to see nearly 200 of our readers and industry friends all gathered at Allē Lounge on 66 at Resorts World Las Vegas with its panoramic Strip views. And this is just the beginning for CDC Events, stay tuned in 2026.”
A huge thank you must go to the Day Zero Party’s Venue Sponsor, RWLV, whose support made the event possible. With its expansive views of the dazzling Las Vegas Strip, Allē Lounge on 66 provided the perfect backdrop for a gaming industry gathering in the heart of the North Las Vegas Strip.
The Day Zero Party represents an evolution of CDC Gaming’s traditional Press Party which has been held on the Sunday prior to G2E every year since 2017. This year’s party was also the first event held under the new CDC Events brand which was created in the wake of CDC Gaming’s merger on 1 January 2025 with Inside Asian Gaming, aimed at leveraging IAG’s long-standing events experience in Asia and introducing this to the Americas.
There will be much more to come from CDC Events so keep an eye out for upcoming announcements in relation to the planned 2026 schedule.
CDC Gaming and IAG will have a combined team of 15 people attending G2E this year and we look forward to seeing you there.
Be sure to visit the CDC and IAG teams at booth 5134.
