Catena Media, an igaming and sports-betting marketing company, has been going through a management reshuffle after the company’s disappointing financial results that saw the departure of CEO Michael Daly. A little more than a month after the appointment of new CEO Manuel Stan, the company has announced that Michael Gerrow has been promoted to group CFO.
Gerrow joined Catena Media in 2020 and has been based at the company’s Maltese offices. He has since moved to Miami to serve as vice president of finance, where he heads the group’s financial analysis and planning. Gerrow earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, and is qualified as a CPA and ACCA in Canada and the United Kingdom, respectively.
Gerrow will assume the new role on April 15, taking over from interim CFO Erik Edeen, who has been serving in the role since May 2023 after Peter Messner departed.
“We are delighted to see Michael step into the role of group CFO,” Pierre Cadena, Catena’s interim CEO, said. “His extensive experience and deep understanding of our financial operations make him exceptionally well-suited to lead our financial operations going forward. Michael’s transition to this role will provide strategic continuity in our executive management team, supporting Catena Media as we continue on the next phase of our journey.”
The company also announced the promotion of Edward Midolo to chief technology officer. Midolo has been with Catena Media for the six years, previously serving as vice president of systems technology. He was in charge of driving innovation and oversaw the group’s tech operations and central technology.
