Casino chip collectors will soon benefit from a database of more than 334,000 collectible items from 32,000 casinos worldwide.

The Museum of Gaming History, an educational project of the Casino Collectibles Association, is introducing the My Collection feature for the club’s ChipGuide database.

The ChipGuide is the hobby’s primary casino chip resource.

The My Collection feature allows collectors to set up several lists for casino collectibles always available online. This saves collectors from inadvertently adding duplicates or passing up items they own. Collectors can add lists of chips they want to acquire or trade. Through a trade maker function, these lists are matched to other collectors lists to facilitate trades.

To protect a collector’s privacy, only they can authorize access to their lists.

The Museum of Gaming History is offering a free hour-long Zoom seminar to share how the ChipGuide My Collection feature can be used. The seminar, scheduled for 9 p.m. January 20, is open to the public.

This is the first of a planned series of seminars on casino memorabilia and gaming history.
