The agreement comes in the wake of the Canadian Parliament’s legalizing wagering on single-game sports betting June 22.

“OfficePools.com sees the legalization of sports betting in Canada as a positive development for sports fans across the provinces,” said GSL Holdings President and CEO Graham Lee. “This free-to-play partnership expands on our existing Chalkline platform of engagement and educational tools, and is the perfect partner to grow into a regulated sports betting environment with.”

GSL is the owner and operator of OfficePools.com, which has supported communities of primarily hockey-pool players since 1995.

“Graham and the team at OfficePools.com are part of the fabric of what it means to be a sports fan in Canada,” said Chalkine CEO Daniel Kustelski. “Partner with the leading community fan site leverages our shared vision and products to deliver fun and education to their audience.”

Chalkline, with offices in Nashville, London, and Johannesburg, delivered more than 8,000 unique games to more than 5 million players across the world in 2020.
