California: Sycuan Casino Resort donates $187,000 to San Diego charities as part of holiday program

Sycuan Casino Resort in San Diego this week announced donations of $187,000 to 28 charities as part of its Annual Holiday Gift Giving Ceremony. This is the 16th year that the Sycuan Tribal Council has supported the community through the event.

“This event is always such a special one, because members of our team are given the opportunity to select a charity partner that is meaningful to them,” said Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation Chairman Cody Martinez in a statement. “Our event this year is also very exciting, because we’ve broken another record making 2022 the biggest Gift Giving Ceremony we’ve ever had. We are honored and proud to support these organizations that are making a positive difference in our community every single day.”

Charities include the Alzheimer’s Association of San Diego; Big Brothers Big Sisters San Diego County; the Gary Sinise Foundation San Diego; Rady Children’s Hospital – Cancer Center; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; and the San Diego LGBT Community Center.
