California: New general manager announced for Golden Acorn Casino and Travel Center

Michael J. Broderick has been appointed the new general manager of Golden Acorn Casino and Travel Center in Campo, southern California.

Broderick brings more than 35 years of experience in the gaming and hospitality industry. He previously served as the general manager of Northern Waters Casino Resort in Watersmeet, Michigan, Sherwood Valley Casino in Willits, California, and Cahuilla Casino and Hotel in Anza, California.

As the new GM, Broderick will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the casino-travel center and leading the company.

Board of Directors President Steven Parkhurst stated, “Michael Broderick’s extensive knowledge of the gaming industry, combined with his experience in leadership positions, makes him the ideal candidate to lead our casino-travel center into the future.”

Broderick said, “I am honored to work with the members of the board of Muht Hei, Inc., and the team at Golden Acorn Casino and Travel Center to continue providing exceptional service to our guests and achieving continued, sustainable growth for the company and the Tribe.”

Broderick received his bachelor’s degree and MBA from California Coast University in Santa Ana and his associate in science degree in business administration from the Corporacion National de Education Professional in Santiago, Chile. He is Harvard University Graduate School-certified and a former degree candidate at Harvard University Extension. He is also a United States Marine Corps veteran, published author, and exhibited painter.
