Online sports betting in Massachusetts moved closer to reality Tuesday when regulators granted WynnBET the state’s first ever digital license.
“Madam Chair and members of the commission, we’re honored by this outcome today and we look forward to being a collaborative partner with the Commission going forward,” Jennifer Roberts, vice president and general counsel for WynnBET said Tuesday.
After nearly seven hours of deliberation and following more than one retreat into non-public executive sessions, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission unanimously approved WynnBET’s bid to operate a mobile wager platform starting in March, when online betting is expected to go live in the state.
