West Virginia casino gambling drops in December

The latest revenue report is in, and both retail and online casino gambling in West Virginia for December is down month-to-month.

The Mountaineer State’s retail casino revenue came out to $7,044,436.80 in December. Online casino gaming in West Virginia resulted in $10,281,924.40.

Here’s a deep dive into December’s numbers.

Revenue for online casinos in West Virginia dropped slightly month-to-month. In November, online gaming revenue came out to $10,332,772.70 – $50,848.30 more than December’s total.

Additionally, West Virginia’s online casino gaming handle fell by about $10.5 million. In December, West Virginians gambled $300,648,752.06. The month prior, customers bet $311,166,800.49.

West Virginia online casinos paid out $290,366,827.66 to winners during the month of December, too. That number is down by roughly $10.47 million compared to November’s figures.
