Local sports icon Howard “Scooter” Chapman made the first legal bet in Clallam County at 7 Cedars Casino’s new Cedars Sportsbook on Thursday…
“Now, it’s all up to the Seahawks,” Chapman, a longtime local sportscaster who retired in 2022, said after placing a $20 bet with manager Bill Matsko and Danny Duszynski on Seattle to defeat the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday in the Wild Card Weekend playoff game.
The casino’s new business features eight self-serve kiosks open from 8 a.m. to 3 a.m. daily (cash only), and a writing station open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
