A company based in California will have to pay nearly $170,000 for safety violations that led to a construction worker’s death earlier this year. Ana Vetter was working on a project at Spokane Tribe Casino in March when she was killed. At the time, a witness to the accident told 4 News Now that the whole parking lot shook when something fell.
Earlier this summer, the Washington Department of Labor and Industries cited SAK Builders, Inc for safety violations.
SAK is a subsidiary of Swinerton incorporated.
At the time of the accident, Swinerton issued a statement saying it was a formwork collapse.
