A new report highlights the latest gambling tax revenue figures, with Lincoln benefiting from a late-year boost fueled by sports betting.

WarHorse Casino in Lincoln generated more than $59 million in revenue over the past year. Of that total, 20% went to a variety of tax funds, while the casino retained 80%.

State taxes from sports betting contributed to the Property Tax Credit Fund, which received nearly $8.4 million from Lincoln alone in 2024. Statewide contributions to the fund totaled just under $20.4 million.

Lincoln collected almost $12 million from gaming taxes, with more than $29 million brought in statewide… For reference, Lincoln’s casino drew in $10.3 million in 2023 and $2.7 million in 2022, the same year it opened.
