After 100 days of operations, Live! Casino’s temporary gaming facility in Petersburg is touting huge success.

In front of Petersburg City Council Tuesday night, the casino says it’s already bringing lots of people and money to the area, outperforming expectations.

“We are about 16% above budget. So really good for what our projections were,” said Penny Parayo, general manager of Live! Casino Virginia.

In its first 100 days, Parayo said 325,000 guests have visited the facility, resulting in $6.5 million in gaming taxes.

According to the city manager, around $2.1 million of that will go to the city of Petersburg.
