Gambling Commission CEO Andrew Rhodes said the regulator intends to ramp up its enforcement against suppliers involved with unregulated operators in 2025.

Speaking at the International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA), Rhodes said the Commission would continue to use its new capabilities around covert test purchasing and other investigative tools to identify businesses assisting unlicensed operators.

The chief executive’s comments come after new attention to its policy in this area, after Evolution reported late last year that its licence was under review due its games being available with unlicensed operators.

He said: “If the Commission feels it is necessary to suspend or revoke the license of any operator or supplier, then their activity ceases immediately.”
