Members of the Three Affiliated Tribes Business Council met Friday, Oct. 10, with the architect of a proposed new casino in White Shield to tour the project currently under construction.
The casino is not close to opening, but DSGW architect Erik Wedge provided digital images to help imagine a completed building. Wedge said the building is an open canvas at this point, enabling recommended changes to be incorporated yet as work continues.
MHA Nation announced plans for the Son of Star casino in September 2023. According to information released at the time and reported in the Minot Daily News, the 37,000-square-foot casino, set to open in 2026 just south of the powwow grounds, would be designed to reflect the culture and traditions of MHA Nation.
