As the 2025 election season ramps up, Texas Sands PAC, the political arm of casino giant Las Vegas Sands, has revealed it is sitting on more than $9 million in cash, according to new financial disclosures. The well-funded super PAC is expected to play a major role in shaping the future of casino gambling legislation in Texas.
The bulk of the PAC’s war chest comes from Miriam Adelson, the billionaire majority owner of Las Vegas Sands and the Dallas Mavericks. Adelson has long been a driving force behind the company’s expansion efforts—and now, her focus appears to be on cracking into one of the last untapped gambling markets in the country: Texas.
Despite its name, Las Vegas Sands no longer operates casinos in the United States. The company sold its Nevada properties in 2022 and now runs integrated resort casinos solely in Macau and Singapore.
