SuperBook Sports was awarded a mobile sports betting license Wednesday morning by the Maryland Sports Wagering Application Review Commission (SWARC).

The Maryland Lottery still needs to perform controlled demonstrations with SuperBook Sports before the operator can go live, but it’s nearing a launch in the state. SuperBook Sports is currently live in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Ohio, Nevada, New Jersey, and Tennessee.

SuperBook Sports is partnered with Major League Baseball’s Baltimore Orioles, and the operator plans to have a sports betting lounge at Camden Yards open in 2023. Crab Sports, a local mobile sports betting operator partnered with Gaming Innovation Group, was also awarded its mobile sports betting license Wednesday by the SWARC.
