Star Entertainment Group will be forced to pay $60,000 to the NSW casino regulator over a historical breach of responsible service of alcohol laws which resulted in a woman requiring a wheelchair after vomiting on herself while gambling.
Liquor & Gaming NSW complained to the state casino watchdog– the NSW Independent Casino Commission– in January and alleged that a 44-year-old woman attended the casino in December 2021 and was served 12 drinks in less than four hours before vomiting on herself and the floor. She was then allegedly escorted from the VIP-only casino area in a wheelchair.
