Australia’s Star Entertainment Group Limited says it has completed its Board renewal program following the appointment of financial services veteran Peter Hodgson as a non-executive director, subject to regulatory approvals.
Hodgson will become the seventh new addition to Star’s Board of Directors since the renewal program was first announced in April 2022, completing a comprehensive refresh that included the departures of former Chairman John O’Neill and Managing Director and CEO Matt Bekier in the wake of findings tendered during the Bell review into The Star Sydney.
“On behalf of the Board, I welcome Peter to The Star,” said Star Chairman, David Foster. “With his extensive commercial, governance and risk management experience, Peter is well positioned to contribute to The Star’s remediation and transformation.”
