A coalition of statewide religious organizations and church leaders held a “Pastor’s Day at the Capitol” on Wednesday.
During a press conference, faith leaders voiced their opposition to casino gambling in South Carolina.
The press conference took place at 11 a.m. in the first-floor lobby of the South Carolina State House.
Faith leaders also met with legislators throughout the day to express their concerns about what they described as “predatory” casino gambling.
Participating organizations included Palmetto Family Alliance, Faith Wins America, and the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools, along with denominational and church leadership, including SC Baptists and the Churches of God in South Carolina.
