Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady announced new educational funding support programs for their employees. The programs will offer workers thousands of dollars in tuition assistance and college loan relief.
Qualifying full-time team members with applicable student loans are eligible for up to $1,000 annually toward their student debt, fully paid for as a company benefit with Rivers. Additionally, the casino launched the Bill Keena Honorary Scholarship Program, honoring the company’s recently retired longtime chief operating officer.
The program, facilitated by Scholarship America, will benefit employees and their dependents looking to attend college or vocational schools. Part and full-time workers are eligible for up to $5,000 per year in aid toward tuition, fees and books.
